Our first drive out in the new car went well! Despite it's mileage (180,000km..) it seems to perform better than the little Micra we had back home!
Even when full of our tent and food, it didn't struggle with the drive at all.
We headed to Akaroa, a little French village surrounded by mountains, with a lake connecting to the sea.
After settling in, it decided to start raining, giving us a good chance to test out the waterproofing, which thankfully held! Due to the weather, we decided to play cards, starting with a game whose name I won't say here, but the rules can be found here - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shithead_(card_game)
We play it with a few variations, with have 7s and 8s also magic cards.
We decided to keep track of score, with players earning points for the remaining cars left in their hand at the end of the game.
After the first night, the points were close, with Abi leading with a deficit of 4. Let's see if this continues..
