12.11.23 - Auckland to Christchurch

After a rough nights sleep, we were up at 8am to begin our packing. I can tell I'm a country kid as city noise does not agree with my sleep, especially Saturday nights.

After popping over the road for a coffee, it was time to re-pack the bags for hopefully the last time! Around 9.30, and still half of my clothes over the place, I decided it was time to double check the check-out time (initially thinking it was 11am).

It's a good job we did, as it turns out it was 10am... After a mad rush around, we get checked out for 10am, and around 10.45, the taxi turned up to take us to the airport.

The airport was a breeze. We have never travelled domestic before, so not having to go through passport control was a nice change. The flight was uneventful, except for our almost 45 degree approach to the runway due to high winds, but the landing was smooth.

We got through Christchurch airport nice and easy, and get a taxi to the bed and breakfast. These taxi costs are starting to add up, so hopefully this will be the last!

After settling in to our accommodation, we head out to the centre of Christchurch to meet the Harry, Yuri, LJ and Tania for a drink in their hotel bar. It was lovely to see you all, and thanks for the drinks!

Around 9.30pm, we start the stumble back to the B&B, time for bed.

We didn't take any photos that day, so here's a photo of Kerby looking adorable. (Abi looks cute too!)
