After a decent nights sleep, we decided to go and explore Auckland!
We wanted to try and get a bank account set up ASAP, so headed to the nearest bank.
Upon arriving, we were told we needed a NZ phone number, and an IRD Number, and an address. Ah..
As we had none of these, we decided to go and get breakfast.
Looking into getting an IRD, and we need a bank account. Ah.. This could prove challenging.
Time for a coffee. Flat whites are more foamy here than the UK, so that's something to get used to.
Abi's happy as we can get Iced Chocolate out here from most cafés :D
If you're in Auckland, Coffee Club do lovely coffees and are very polite.
Kebab for lunch, the classic NZ cuisine.
Looking for somewhere to relax, we stumble across a shisha bar. Would be rude not to...
After a few hours of shisha, and trying to understand the rules of Cricket, we decided it was time to head back.
Grabbed some pot noodles from the supermarket. May as well start on the pot noodles early.
After a pot noodle and some TV, it was time for bed.
On to the next day!
What's an IRD number? I presume you can use your ATM cards in the machines there...but you need the account so as not to pay the dollar conversion rates?
